아티스트 콜렉티브 ‘모듈라서울’과 조계종 어산어장 ‘인묵스님’이 만들어내는 환상적인 사운드 스케이프.
‘lull~유영’은 ‘모듈라서울(Modular Seoul)’이 처음으로 선보이는 전자음악 앨범으로, 자연을 닮은 음악 ‘범패’와 만물을 인지하고 위로하는 의미를 담은 ‘불전사물(佛殿四物)‘을 실험적인 전자음악으로 재해석한 7개의 트랙이 수록되었다.
불전사물은 불교의식에서 연주되는 범종, 법고, 목어, 운판 네 가지의 악기를 칭한다. 각각의 악기는 지옥, 땅, 물, 하늘에서 살아가는 중생들을 인지하고 제도하는 의미를 담고 있다.
어산(魚山)이라고도 불리는 범패는 한국의 3대 전통성악 중 하나이자 오랜 시간 승려들에 의해 전해지고 있는 불교의식 음악이다. 연못에서 유영하는 물고기의 움직임을 본 따 만들어진 범패의 선율은 소리의 움직임이 무겁고 진중하지만 동시에 한 없이 따뜻하고 부드러움을 가지고 있다. 특별히 조계종 어산어장 인묵스님이 참여한 ’연향게‘와 ’복청게‘는 이러한 범패의 정수를 들려준다.
